It’s back to school!

And Fuel it is off to a great start this school year! The first pre-production run is over and we are working hard to satisfy you as soon as possible.

The most important news this month is of course our victory in the Open4StartUp contest organized by Nicephore Cité!

Human Resources level

Fuel it is recruiting! We are now looking for a passionate developer who will be able to help us with the development.

We have published an offer on our website. Don’t hesitate to take a look at it, and share it with your friends!

Google referencing

We are now the first website choice offered by google when requesting a connected oil tank sensor!

Thanks to the extensive work of our webmaster, we get the first result on many google searches. And it pays off! We are increasingly in demand. For the moment we have only worked on natural referencing. #SEO. We are waiting a little bit before we start on paid referencing. #SEA

Advances on the sensor

We are launching a second industrial pre-series in order to respond as quickly as possible to the numerous requests.

On this new and last pre-series, we have made changes to the design of the electronic board (PCB). Minor electronic modifications as well as a shape modification for a better fit inside the sensor.

This pre-series will allow us to validate our new design before industrialization.

We are looking for several alternatives to make this second pre-series. Indeed, until now, 3D printing was for us a good alternative for prototyping but it is now proving too long and unsuitable.

Three new forms of sensor development are now available to us:

Plastic injection: Injection molding is a process for the use of thermoformable materials, especially thermoplastics. Most of the parts are manufactured with plastic injection molding machines: the plastic material is softened by heat, injected into a mold and then cooled. This method is still very expensive for a pre-production run.

Machining: Family of techniques for manufacturing parts by chip removal. The principle of machining is to remove material in order to give the raw part the desired shape and dimensions, using a machine tool.

Resin: The principle is to create a mold and then pour resin. A mold is a hollow object that is used to reproduce a pattern. It can be hollow (female mold) or in relief (male mold) but in all cases it is used to reproduce the same part over and over again in a strictly identical way. The problem with this process lies in the development of the screw threads.

Don’t forget that we are always looking for a passionate developer to give you a better user experience on your Fuel it account.

We will keep you informed of further progress,

See you soon! :)
